The continuous improvement of the medical situation and the focus on the education and training of endoscopists is one of the major goals of the Medical Education Centres covered by PENTAX Campus in Europe.
Training at the centre of excellence
The interdisciplinary endoscopy unit at the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz is the Centre of Excellence for endomicroscopic imaging. Mainz University is now offering different types of tutorial visitations, which will provide the participants with a deep insight into and structured training in endomicroscopy. Endomicroscopy experts and professors such as Ralf Kiesslich, Arthur Hoffman and Martin Götz will guide you through the different courses at the endoscopic unit of the First Medical Department (Director: Prof. Dr. Peter. R. Galle). Furthermore, Stefan Biesterfeld (University of Mainz), an expert of gastrointestinal pathology, will teach you on the subject of image interpretation.
Scope of training
The purpose of the different training courses is to offer you initial and advanced training lessons and to provide you with in depth knowledge of the technique and the clinical value of endomicroscopy. The courses contain different elements: live demonstrations, hands on training, image interpretation, technological review and update and overview on recent publications in the field of endomicroscopy. The courses are held in English. You may select from three training possibilities, a 1, 2 or 3-day seminar.
